Steel Cities Steels, Inc., was founded in April, 1952 by Basil Mosak as a distributor of cold finished bars. Basil started out in Chicago, under what is today the Chicago Skyway. In 1976, Steve Vangel started an era of expansion. He deepened the product line, added more services, and established Steel Cities Steels as a leading provider of quality and services. Today Steel Cities Steels, Inc. is a full line service center conveniently headquartered in Burns Harbor, Indiana.  Steel Cities Steels, Inc. has remained a family-owned business since 1952 and we've continued to focus on quality and service since our inception.
