Lori joined Steel Cities Steels in 2022, focusing on contractor sales; however, she is an integral part of the sales team, helping wherever is needed. She has discovered that her primary value has been through customer contact and visiting their offices or the job site. In doing this, Lori has been able to know them, understand their needs, and guide them through their issues and challenges. She takes the time to understand their business clearly and offers solutions tailored to their needs.
Many contractors she works with also need help with coordination-making sure there is communication on when the driver needs to be there, whom the contact is at the job site, having the driver call the contact to arrange delivery, and getting the driver to the correct area. Getting the details right for each project is a priority.
What she likes most about her job is that she gets to go out and talk with all her customers and offer solutions that help keep their projects moving according to their timelines. She stated that getting to know each customer personally makes each interaction more meaningful and enjoyable. "What I do has brought a new meaning and perspective to all my surroundings. Seeing the finished product with the steel we provide and meeting the men and women who help put it all together is great," said Lori!
